About Me

Hi my name is Nazef Syed and I am a junior at UNC Chapel Hill. Over the summer, I have gained clinical experience by shadowing, and volunteering in two separate clinics in Arizona. I shadowed a General Practitioner, with whom I got to see the treatment of a wide variety of STDs such as gonorrhea and syphilis. I volunteered at Regenerative Medicine Clinic where I got observe stem cell treatments and Botox, while I also sat at the reception where I had to deal with incoming patients. I have previously been involved in collection of data at an eye camp in Moulvibazar, Bangladesh in 2020. My job involved one on one personal data collection from elderly villagers suffering from various eye diseases. I tabulated the collected data which was then used for further research by health care professionals.
